CONCENTRATION ON EMPLOYMENT AND BENEFITS

Program of Assertive Community Treatment (PACT)

Who You Are:

A passionate individual with a Master’s Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, or Education with a Clinical Concentration (or related field) who is Licensed or on the path to licensure. Experience with state and federal benefits required. Experience working with budgeting and financing preferred. Valid driver’s license required. Skilled in the use of Microsoft Word.

What You Will Do:

Employment and Benefit Specialist establishes and maintains therapeutic, supportive relationships with all persons served. Provides recovery-oriented treatment services and performs indirect services to persons served such as:

  • Assists in identifying personal recovery goals and develop recovery-oriented individualized action plans (IAP).
  • Assists with activities, appointments and provides transportation when appropriate. Teaches and assists with the maximum use of public transportation, as needed.
  • Teach money-management skills and assist in accessing financial services
  • Provide benefits counseling (e.g. Supplemental Security Income [SSI], Social Security Disability Income [SSDI], Social Security Assistance [SSA], veteran’s benefits)
  • Assist and support consumers with application for entitlements (e.g. Food Stamps, Fuel assistance, Community Resources).

At work, we are psychiatrists, social workers, clinicians, nurses, behavior specialists, peer specialists, board certified behavior analysts, direct service staff and employment specialists.
